The story of DocStream is one of diaspora Levantines who have pursued higher studies in English, French, and German universities, and who came together with a common purpose of intercultural survival and universal understanding.

With the rigor of their school curricula, and their culture’s emphasis on a scientific golden age, they found a new home in their shared love for the Arabic language.

This blend of rootedness and cosmopolitanism has been the primary motivation to start DocStream, a social enterprise whose proceeds go to support Syrian, Lebanese and Palestinian journalism.
